Pets for Patriots is the only nationally operating nonprofit that:
- Serves veterans at all career stages and from all armed forces, from WWII veterans to active duty
- Focuses on the most overlooked sheltered animals
- Addresses surrender prevention by making pet guardianship more affordable for our nation’s military veterans
PETS FOR PATRIOTS
Pets for Patriots helps United States military veterans adopt a new pet friend while giving the most overlooked shelter dogs and cats hope and a home.To promote the human-animal bond and reduce the chance of adopted animals being surrendered to shelters, Pets for Patriots provides veterans with various benefits to make pet guardianship more affordable over the life of the pet, including ‘welcome home’ contributions for pet food and other essentials, access to high-quality, discounted veterinary care, and discounts on a range of pet-related goods and services.Every day 22 veterans take their own lives. Every eight seconds a dog or cat is put to death for lack of anyone to adopt them. Companion pet adoption saves two lives.
MUSIC DRIVES US
Music Drives Us (MDU) is a registered 501(c)(3)
nonprofit organization that proudly supports innovators who strive to preserve and produce musical opportunities for all communities throughout New England. Through our grant cycle and generous supporters, MDU is able to support music education programs, supply schools with musical instruments, sponsor music therapy programs, and so much more.
Since its inception in 2006, Music Drives Us has helped hundreds of individuals, organizations, and schools throughout New England. Each year during our grant cycle, these groups apply for our Performance Grants or Organizational Grants. After a thorough review process, MDU selects the applicants who will receive funding. We are proud to share that to date, we have donated more than $1,000,000! We look forward to the continued expansion of our movement in the coming years.
In 1996, the families of Christopher and Kristine decided to combine forces. For 7 years, they provided support to families at Memorial Sloan-Kettering and Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York through grassroots efforts and fundraising. In 2003, the founders launched Family Reach as a formal 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Since that time, Family Reach has generated almost $14 million in gross contributions through annual events, special programs, individual donations, and corporate partners. Thousands of families fighting cancer have benefited from grants to help pay for critical nonmedical and medical expenses. Family Reach now serves the needs of families through prominent hospitals across the country, including Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, Johns Hopkins Children’s Center in Baltimore, and UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital in San Francisco.
Family Reach is a national nonprofit dedicated to alleviating the financial burden of cancer. Working with more than 200 hospitals and cancer centers nationwide, we provide immediate financial assistance, education and navigation to families before they hit critical breaking points. Family Reach’s efficient, solutions-driven model bridges the gap between hospital and home, quickly providing the vital support families need to stay afloat.
Since 2003, Family Reach has been a financial lifeline for 45,000 cancer patients and caregivers across the United States, distributing over $7.5 million directly to families when they need it most.
